Applicants are typically required to have completed a relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification from a recognised Australian institution, with most programs specifying that the degree must have been completed within a recent timeframe (commonly the past two to three years). Some streams, such as accounting and IT, require that the undergraduate degree meets the minimum academic credit point requirements set by their respective professional bodies — for example, a minimum of two years of relevant credit points for the IT (ACS) stream.
