The total course fee is AUD $16,200, plus a non-refundable enrolment fee of $300 to be paid on application. Non-tuition fees may also apply and can be found at www.ctic.com.au. Course fees do not include computer software or textbooks, which are to be purchased at the student's own cost.
The qualification is delivered over 78 weeks, including 54 weeks of training and assessment spread over 6 terms of 9 weeks each, and 24 weeks of holidays. Students are required to attend classes for 20 hours per week.
International students must be at least 18 years of age, have completed Year 12 or equivalent, and have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (no more than 2 years old). Other tests such as PTE and TOEFL may be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 5.5. In addition, students must have completed the FNS50222 Diploma of Accounting (or its superseded version FNS50217) or equivalent prior to commencing this qualification.
Yes. This qualification includes units that comprise an approved Tax Practitioner Board (TPB) course in Australian taxation law and commercial law, which are relevant for registration as a tax agent. Persons seeking registration with the TPB should check current registration requirements with the TPB, as registration requirements are reviewed regularly.
Assessment methods used for this qualification provide a range of ways for individuals to demonstrate that they have met the required outcomes, including projects, presentations, report writing, observations, and questioning (oral or written). At the beginning of each unit, trainers will outline the assessment tasks that must be completed.
