To enrol, you must be 18 years of age or over, have a minimum 5.5 IELTS score or equivalent (or complete a KCBT placement test), and have either completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package, or have two years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role. Students who do not meet the English requirement will need to package this program with an English Course before proceeding.
The course runs for a total of 52 weeks across 4 terms, which includes 40 study weeks and 12 weeks of term break. Classes are rostered for 2½ days per week plus a self-study component, and full-time students are required to attend a minimum of 20 scheduled course contact hours per week.
There is a one-off Application Fee of $250 applicable on new enrolments, and a Resources Fee of $500 which covers equipment and resources used in the delivery of your course at KCBT. Tuition fees can be found by referring to the Course Details/Prices link on the institution's website.
All units of competence will be assessed using a selection of tools including portfolios, reports, role-plays, observations in the real simulated work environment, case studies, questioning, simulation activities, and knowledge-based assessments.
Yes. You can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if you believe you have already attained the necessary skills and competencies through work or other study. Additionally, learners who hold any of the Units of Competency specified in the course may be eligible for a Credit Transfer by submitting a verified Certificate or Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO. RPL and Credit Transfer application forms are available from reception or on the college website.
