Advanced Diploma of Business

The Advanced Diploma of Business (BSB60120) is a nationally recognised VET qualification offered by The Canberra Training School Pty. Ltd., trading as Canberra Business and Technology College (CBTC). It reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles who typically hold general management accountabilities and are responsible for the supervision and leadership of a team or work area, including managing staff performance and making staffing decisions.

The course suits graduates of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded), or those with at least two years' equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role. It prepares students for advanced Business Services roles as well as technical research and analysis positions.

Delivered over 52 weeks in a blended mode combining scheduled face-to-face classes with online learning activities, the course requires a recommended study commitment of 35-45 hours per week and is assessed through written assessments, projects, case studies and role plays. It comprises 10 units of competency (5 core and 5 elective), with electives selected in consultation with industry. Classes are delivered from CBTC's Canberra and Sydney campuses.
