Advanced Diploma of Business

An Advanced Diploma in Business goes one step further, giving you a solid foundation in business disciplines and skills that let you multi-task across a number of roles within an organisation or run your own business. Delivered by Victorian Academy of Commerce and Technology Startups (VACTS) at its Coburg campus, the course builds directly on the Diploma of Business (BSB50120) and is designed for students who want to deepen their business knowledge with a genuine focus on entrepreneurship and start-ups, reflecting VACTS's own emphasis on new business ideas and innovation. The program runs over 58 weeks, with 20 hours of student contact time per week across 47 weeks of study and an 11-week break; students who have already completed relevant units through Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer may finish sooner. Entry requires completion of the Diploma of Business or another relevant qualification, plus Year 12 VCE (or its overseas equivalent) and evidence of English proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.0. Classes are delivered face-to-face at VACTS's Sydney Road campus, which includes dedicated training rooms and a computer lab.
