The international full tuition fee for the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design is $24,000. Note that the Diploma of Civil Construction Design is a prerequisite qualification, with a tuition fee of $15,000, and the remaining 9 months of the Advanced Diploma costs $9,000. There is also an enrolment fee of $250 and a material fee (including software) of $400.
Yes. Acknowledge Education offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit transfer for relevant previous qualifications. Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Acknowledge Education. Credit transfer may reduce your study duration and overall tuition fees, depending on the outcome of the assessment. You may be able to get up to 50% course credit for prior learning in Australia.
Upon successful completion of the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, pathway students may be eligible for direct entry into the second year of Acknowledge Education's Bachelor of Construction Project Management degree, with credit for 8 out of 24 units of study. Students also graduate with both a Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design as part of the two-year industry-aligned pathway.
During the course you will develop skills in using computer-aided design (CAD) software including AutoCAD and Revit to produce detailed drawings, plans and designs for construction work. You will also build advanced skills in civil and structural design, including complex modelling, coordination, and design validation, as well as capabilities in managing design processes, analysing technical data, and applying engineering principles to large-scale projects.
To be awarded the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design (RII60520), students must complete 12 units in total, comprising 5 core units and 7 elective units. Core units include subjects such as Manage civil works design process, Manage program risk, and Establish and maintain a quality system, while elective units cover areas such as preparing detailed designs of urban roads, civil steel, timber, and concrete structures, and geotechnical design.
