The course runs for a total of 98 weeks, comprising 79 teaching weeks and 19 weeks of scheduled breaks.
You need to meet the English language requirement by qualifying in any one of the accepted tests: IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0, TOEFL iBT with a minimum of 64 (only accepted if taken on or before 25 July 2023), Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with a minimum of 169, or PTE Academic with a minimum of 50. Lower scores may be accepted if the applicant completes 10 or 20 weeks of ELICOS/Foundation study.
Graduates can pursue roles such as Civil Engineering Draftsperson, Civil Engineering Design Draftsperson, Civil Engineering Technician, Road Design Draftsperson, Sewage Reticulation Drafting Officer, Structural Engineering Drafting Officer, Site Manager, and Estimator & Administrator.
Yes. ICM can grant course credit for units of competency already completed with another RTO or authorised issuing organisation, and can also recognise equivalent subjects. There is no charge to apply for credit. Additionally, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for skills and knowledge gained through work and life experience; you should ideally apply at enrolment or up to 2 weeks into your course.
Applicants must have satisfactorily completed studies in their home country equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification, and must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission.
