The total duration of the course is 104 weeks, comprising 80 weeks of study period and 24 weeks of term break, delivered 100% by face-to-face class at the TM campus.
Students must have Academic IELTS 6 overall with no less than 5.5 in each band (test results no more than 2 years old), or an equivalent score in other accepted tests such as PTE and TOEFL, or completion of an approved Australian English Language course with an equivalent level.
Graduates can pursue roles such as Civil Construction Designer, Project Manager (Civil Construction), Senior Civil Drafter, Engineering Associate (Civil), Structural Designer, Road Design Specialist, Construction Design Manager, Infrastructure Design Coordinator, Estimator (Civil Projects), and Site Supervisor (Design-focused), across industries including Civil Engineering and Construction, Infrastructure Development, Local and State Government, Mining and Resource Projects, and Environmental Engineering.
Applicants must have successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent, or successfully completed an AQF Certificate IV qualification or higher from an Australian institution where the course duration was no less than 12 months. Some prospective students may also be asked to undertake an LLN assessment or enrolment interview prior to acceptance.
On completion of this qualification, candidates may choose to undertake a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Construction Management, or Graduate Certificates or Diplomas in specialised programs in project management, structural engineering, or infrastructure design or related fields.
