The tuition fee is AU$12,500 for both international and domestic students. There is also a mandatory resource fee of AU$1,500, an enrolment fee of AU$250 (non-tuition, payable at the time of enrolment), and international students are also required to hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their student visa. Note that tuition fees are not fixed for the duration of enrolment and are reviewed annually.
Students will need Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Microsoft Word) and Autodesk applications (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, and Revit). All enrolled students are provided with access to Microsoft 365 applications as part of their enrolment. Students enrolled in RII course packages will also receive access to Autodesk software through a student subscription. Students who experience issues should contact the IT Helpdesk at helpdesk@illoura.edu.au.
The course runs for 42 weeks, including 40 weeks of study and 2 weeks of holidays. Classes are scheduled for 2½ days per week, and full-time study requires students to attend a minimum of 20 scheduled course contact hours each week. Duration may vary if the student has applied for advanced standing and been granted credit transfer.
Applicants must have successfully completed the RII50520 – Diploma of Civil Construction Design. International students must also demonstrate English language proficiency, with a minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent scores in Pearson PTE Academic (42, no score less than 36) or Cambridge English Advanced (CAE 169). Exemptions apply for citizens of certain English-speaking countries and those who have completed qualifying studies in Australia.
Yes, Recognition of Prior Learning is available upon request for students with prior skills, experience, knowledge, or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training in a related area. Recognition may reduce the duration of your studies.
