Work is carried out in accordance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Individuals work with minimal supervision and are responsible for the quality of their own work and that of others. They apply advanced knowledge and skills to design, plan, and manage civil construction projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other infrastructure. This course prepares students for senior technical and design roles in the civil construction industry, focusing on design principles, project management, and technical leadership.

Assessments are an integral part of this course and may encompass a variety of formats, such as written questions, projects, presentations, reports, role plays/observations, and portfolios/journals. At the commencement of each unit, your trainer and assessor will outline the specific assessment tasks that you are required to complete.
This course is targeted at international students who are individuals with prior experience and knowledge in civil construction design, those who want to advance their career in civil construction design and acquire advanced skills in project management, contract administration, and civil design, as well as designers, engineers, project managers, and construction supervisors working in the civil construction industry who are looking to enhance their technical and managerial skills.
This program is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study. The duration is 104 weeks, including 80 study weeks and 24 weeks of holidays. The study load is 20 hours a week in the classroom and 4 hours of structured self-study.
Yes, you can apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning) as per the information included in the International Student Handbook. If you are granted course credit, this will affect your course fees as well as the duration of your course, and you will be advised in writing of any changes and issued with a new Confirmation of Enrolment.
Further education pathways may include a higher education qualification such as a Bachelor of Construction Project Management.
