Common Questions
This course is delivered and assessed in Korean, making it accessible to Korean-speaking students seeking to qualify as counsellors.
The practicum unit requires students to complete 140 hours of practical placement activities on-site at the College's Counselling Clinic, located only at the Rhodes campus. This includes a minimum of 40 hours of face-to-face client counselling (seeing 4 clients per week), and up to 100 hours of counselling-related activities such as writing client case notes, attending meetings, and professional development training. Students also participate in 2.5 hours per week of group and individual clinical supervision.
The annual tuition fee for the 2026 academic year is $18,360, with an estimated total tuition cost of $36,720 (subject to annual increases).
Assessment tasks in the practicum unit include a Counselling Session, a Reflection Journal, and a Case Study. Students are also required to maintain a Log Book signed off by the Practicum Supervisor and participate in mid-point and final reviews of their counselling skills at weeks 6 and 13 respectively.
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate a coherent knowledge of major counselling/psychotherapy approaches, apply counselling knowledge and skills to address client needs, engage in ethical and culturally sensitive therapeutic practices, use critically reflective practice skills to maintain therapeutic relationships, apply relevant codes of legal and ethical practice, and care for vulnerable, disadvantaged and marginalised people in the community with compassion and respectful service.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
