As a student in the Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development, you will have access to your own studio on campus, as well as mentors who will provide critical and constructive feedback, technical advice and assistance with the design and development of your individual work.
You will build a folio of work based on projects and class exercises and be assessed on completed projects and final folio submissions.
For local students, the government subsidised tuition fee is $11,700 with a maximum annual amenities fee of $260, making the total payable $11,960. The non-subsidised tuition fee is $15,250, with the same amenities fee, making the total $15,510. For international students, the fee is $21,280 per year or $10,640 per semester. Note that tuition fees do not include textbooks, course materials, or art materials.
Yes. Once you successfully complete the Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development CUA60420, you can continue onto further studies to complete a degree in your specialist field. You can also articulate directly into second year of the Bachelor of Illustration at Melbourne Polytechnic.
Yes, this course requires an interview for entry. Applicants must be graduates of the Diploma of Visual Arts CUA51120 or equivalent, apply directly to Melbourne Polytechnic, and attend an interview and folio presentation. Academic requirements include successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent and a literacy and numeracy test. International students must also meet English language requirements such as Academic IELTS 6.0 overall or Pearson PTE Academic 50 overall.
