Entry into this program is based on an applicant's study and/or relevant work history. All applicants are required to have one of the following: successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent, successfully completed a Certificate II or higher qualification in a relevant Engineering or Electrical field, or applicants without formal qualifications but with significant relevant work experience.
The course can be completed in 2 years full-time or the equivalent part-time duration, and is delivered at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus.
You must satisfactorily complete one of the following: an IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.5, Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with an overall score of 65% and all skills 60% and above, or equivalent measures as listed in Swinburne's English language requirements. The Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) can also be undertaken at the Hawthorn campus.
Yes. Credit transfer is available for academic credits gained through formal study completed at another institute or in another qualification, with the total amount varying based on units successfully completed. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available, allowing skills and knowledge acquired over your lifetime to be assessed against unit requirements, provided you supply appropriate evidence.
