Yes, work placement is a mandatory component for the SITHCCC043 unit, which requires 48 service shifts to be undertaken in an operational commercial kitchen. Students are required to source their own work placements, and placement should commence only after completing SITXFSA005 and SITXFSA006 from the work safety cluster. Students must also provide details of their workplaces so that facilities and equipment can be verified by a CTI representative.
Graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management may pursue roles such as area manager or operations manager, executive chef, food and beverage manager, or rooms division manager. The qualification provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector with a diversity of employers including restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
Students successfully completing this course may further study at Diploma or Advanced Diploma level at CTI. Individuals can also progress to other qualifications in any service industry field or advance to study at a university of their choice.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
