The course is 102 weeks registered on CRICOS, including tuition and course breaks.
The course includes 2 days a week for 10 weeks in an Academia affiliated hotel commercial kitchen and two days a week for 20 weeks in an authorised hospitality workplace. Academia arranges the practical placement for its students in one of Melbourne's or Brisbane's best hotels, such as Grand Hyatt Melbourne, The Langham Hotel, Park Hyatt Melbourne, W Hotel Brisbane, and Hilton Brisbane, among others.
To achieve the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management you must complete 14 core units and 19 electives, with electives selected by Academia to be relevant to the work outcome for this qualification.
After you complete this course there is an articulation pathway with higher education providers. Academia is recognised as a College delivering quality tuition in Vocational Education and Training, and this recognition is demonstrated in the pathways achieved with quality Institutions in the University and Higher Education sectors.
The course is delivered at two campuses: the Melbourne Campus located at 399 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, and the Brisbane Campus located at 41 Raff Street, Spring Hill QLD 4000. The course is delivered face-to-face through a combination of tutorials and workshops, using fully equipped designated computer areas, training kitchens, demonstration kitchens, student PCs, and spacious classrooms with free internet access.
