The course fee is AUD $5,900 plus a $400 learning material fee. A Gap Assessment is also available at an additional cost of $700. There is no fast track option available.
To enter this course, students must have completed SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, and SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management. English language requirements include an IELTS score of 6 overall, TOEFL iBT of 60, PTE Academic of 51.6, Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) of 169, or OET Pass Grade B. Students from English-speaking (level 1) countries with an IELTS of 5.5 or equivalent may take PCBT's English Language Placement test.
The course is delivered over 7 months in 2 terms, including 8 weeks of holidays. Classes are scheduled for 20 hours per week across 2 days per week of face-to-face training. There is no fast track option.
Students who have completed the prerequisite qualifications (SIT30821, SIT40521, and SIT50422) undertake the remaining seven units via credit transfer: BSBOPS601 Develop and implement a business plan, SITXMPR014 Develop and implement marketing strategies, SITXFIN011 Manage physical assets, SITXWHS008 Establish and maintain a work health and safety system, BSBFIN601 Manage organisational finances, SITXHRM012 Monitor staff performance, and SITXHRM010 Recruit, select and induct staff.
After achieving the SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, graduates may choose to undertake bachelor degrees in Hospitality Management or business. The qualification also provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector with employers including restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
