Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management

The Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management (SIT60322) is a senior-level qualification for hospitality professionals who combine broad operational skills with specialised managerial expertise. Graduates operate with significant autonomy, making strategic business decisions across sectors including restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés and coffee shops.

Delivered face-to-face at The Bright College's Perth campus, 3 days a week (20 hours), the course runs 78 weeks for students entering directly, or 52 weeks for Bright College students progressing from the Diploma of Hospitality Management. Rolling intakes are offered throughout the year.

The curriculum builds advanced competencies in financial management within a budget, legal risk and compliance, leading and managing people, staff recruitment and performance monitoring, and business relationship management, complemented by electives in food safety, workplace health and safety, conflict management, rostering, sustainability, marketing strategy and business planning.

Graduates are equipped for senior hospitality management roles across the industry, or may pursue further study in business and management fields.
