New Era Institute offers the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology with one specialisation: Cyber Security. This specialisation includes units on identity management, cyber security risk assessments, compliance with cyber security standards and law, and designing and implementing virtualised cyber security infrastructure.
The course duration is 104 weeks, comprising 80 weeks of tuition and 24 weeks of scheduled breaks between terms. Classes run for 20 hours per week.
International students must have attained the age of 18 years old or over, have evidence of English language competency, and meet the Student Visa (Sub-class 500) requirements. There are no specific academic entry requirements specified within the training package.
Yes. Students can apply for Credit Transfer where there is an exact match of units of competency achieved through an accredited VET qualification at an approved RTO. Students can also apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for existing skills and knowledge obtained through workplace training or experience. For international students, approved Credit Transfer or RPL will result in an adjusted Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) reflecting the reduced study period, while the study load remains at 20 hours per week.
After achieving the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, you may choose to undertake a Bachelor of Information Technology or other Bachelor Degree, or other Advanced Diploma qualifications.
