Yes! As a graduate of this course, you'll be able to enter a Bachelor of Cyber Security at ACBI's sister college, AIBI Higher Education. You'll receive advanced standing and 70 credit points, meaning you'll already be part of the way towards your degree when you complete your Advanced Diploma. As part of this degree, you'll develop your understanding of areas such as IoT security, digital forensics, cybergovernance, cloud security and applied cryptography.
You'll gain hands-on skills and practical experience with a range of hardware and software tools including: Oracle Virtual Box, Ubuntu Linux, Kali Linux, Apache Web Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Cisco network hardware (including switches and routers), Cisco Packet Tracer, and GNS3 for network security exercises.
The Diploma of Information Technology builds specialised skills in web development while also developing your IT knowledge in other areas such as virtual computing environments, database management, mobile applications and dynamic websites, and takes 18 months to complete. The Advanced Diploma of Information Technology is a good choice if you already have some IT skills and are looking to specialise in cyber security, IT management or telecommunications network engineering. This course takes 2 years to complete and opens the door to more senior job opportunities than the Diploma of IT.
Yes, combining the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology with another qualification is an excellent way to boost your skills and make yourself more attractive to employers. You can apply to enrol in two or more qualifications at ACBI, studying one after the other. ACBI recommends packaging the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security) with the Diploma of Information Technology (Web Development) or the Diploma of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Graduates of this course can pursue roles such as Cyber Security Analyst, Cyber Security Administrator, Cyber Security Consultant, Cyber Security Tester, Network Security Analyst, Network Security Specialist, and IT Security Specialist. Graduates who go on to complete a Bachelor of Cyber Security may also pursue more advanced roles such as Penetration Tester, Cyber Security Specialist or Cryptographer.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
