Common Questions
The Advanced Diploma of Information Technology at Kent Institute Australia offers two specialisations: Cyber Security and Telecommunications Network Engineering. Each specialisation has its own set of core and specialisation units tailored to that field.
Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds are required to achieve an IELTS (Academic) overall band score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. English test scores are only valid if they are less than 2 years old at the commencement of the course.
After completing the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, students can progress to the Bachelor of Information Technology or the Bachelor of Business at Kent Institute Australia.
The course is delivered full time on campus only, using a blended mode of face-to-face and supervised study sessions for 20 hours per week. The duration is 4 Terms. Note that this excludes self-study for assessment tasks.
Assessments in the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology include Case Studies, Scenarios – Problem Solving, Practical Activities, Oral Presentation, Multiple Choice Quiz, Written Portfolio, Projects, Reports, and Practical Observations.
