Common Questions
Students must have a valid IELTS score of 5.5 Bands, OR PTE score of 42, OR Cambridge score 162, OR TOEFL iBT 46, OR equivalent (completed a minimum 10-weeks General English Course of Upper-Intermediate Level) within the last 3 calendar years. Alternatively, students who have completed an Australian Qualification from AQF Level 3 (Certificate 3) to Advanced Diploma AQF Level 6, or successful completion of an Australian Equivalent Year 12 qualification within the last 3 calendar years, also satisfy this requirement.
Training is delivered as a combination of face-to-face and online learning. Students are required to attend 14 hours of on-campus scheduled training plus 6 hours of structured online learning activities, totalling the compulsory 20 contact hours per week requirement of the International Student visa. A typical week consists of two days of classes, each with two periods scheduled in either the AM or PM block.
Students are required to bring their own device (BYOD) to training sessions. Minimum requirements include: Operating System Windows 8 Home Edition or later, Processor Intel Core i3 / AMD 2.0 GHz or better, RAM minimum 4 GB (8 GB recommended), Hard Drive 128 GB SSD (256 GB SSD recommended if not using Cloud storage), Display 13 inch full HD (1920 x 1080) with a built-in webcam, WiFi 802.1x compliant, and USB Headsets with microphone. The device must be fully charged.
After completing the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, graduates can progress to a Graduate Certificate in Digital Education, or other vocationally relevant higher qualifications within the industry.
The course duration is 104 weeks including holidays, with 20 hours of study per week. It is available across four locations in Australia: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
