The course is structured to be delivered over 104 weeks, comprising of 72 weeks of delivery and 32 weeks of holidays.
Applicants must have an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0, or alternatively complete and pass the HIA English Test.
Assessment is competency based. Students are required to complete written and practical tasks, which reflect the requirements of the units of competency and current workplace practices. Assessment is continuous throughout the duration of the course, and students are provided with a Student Assessment Booklet at the commencement of each unit of competency.
The total number of units of competency (subjects) required to receive this qualification is 16, comprising of 6 core and 10 elective units.
Graduates may seek employment in roles such as IT Business Analysis, Cyber Security Specialist, or IT Network Engineer. They may also continue their studies into higher education, including a Bachelor's program in the same field.
