The course runs for 104 weeks in total, with 40 weeks of training and assessment per year, 12 weeks of holidays per year, and 4 terms of 10 weeks each per year, with intakes in January, April, July, and October.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencement, demonstrate attainment of at least ACSF level 3 through Australian Year 12 or equivalent and/or a nationally recognised VET qualification at AQF level 3 or above, and meet English proficiency requirements (minimum IELTS 6.0 or PTE 52 or Certificate III in EAL, or equivalent). Additionally, the Training Package requires entrants to have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package, or have two years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role.
The course is delivered face to face at two campuses: Parkville, Melbourne and Pyrmont, Sydney. This program is delivered in the classroom, with practical face to face training provided in a simulated workplace.
Graduates of the Information Technology field (Advanced Diploma) are most often employed in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (26.5%), Education and Training (19.3%), and Retail Trade (18.5%). Job roles include Knowledge Manager, eLearning Manager, Enterprise Application Integration Consultant, Enterprise Architecture Manager, and Software Manager.
After achieving ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, graduates could progress to other ICT qualifications at Advanced Diploma level or higher from within the Information and Communications training package. Up to one year of credit from a Bachelor degree may also be available with ZOI's partner package provider.
