The course runs for 104 weeks in total, consisting of 8 terms of 10 weeks (80 weeks of study) plus holiday breaks amounting to 24 weeks.
The course is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study. Students are required to attend 20 hours a week in the classroom and complete an additional 4 hours of structured self-study per week.
Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, completing at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO, or successful completion of an English Placement Test. Other tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted if results are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
Assessments are an integral part of this course and may encompass a variety of formats, including written questions, projects, presentations, reports, role plays/observations, and portfolios/journals. At the commencement of each unit, your trainer and assessor will outline the specific assessment tasks that you are required to complete.
Yes, you can apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning) as per the information included in the International Student Handbook. If you are granted course credit, this will affect your course fees as well as the duration of your course, and you will be advised in writing of any changes and issued with a new Confirmation of Enrolment.
