Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management at Victorian College of Education Australia (VCEA) reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. The qualification comprises 10 units — 5 core units and 5 electives — covering applying critical thinking for complex problem solving, leading and managing organisational change, leading communication in the workplace, communicating with influence, developing critical thinking in others, providing leadership across the organisation, managing knowledge and information, contributing to strategic workforce planning, developing and implementing a business plan, and managing innovation and continuous improvement. Candidates may enter through a number of entry points, including two years' equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role, or by completing a Diploma or higher-level qualification from the BSB Training Package.

Delivery is face to face in the classroom at VCEA's Queen Street campus in Melbourne, with assessment through classroom activity, projects, case studies and assignments. The course runs for 60 weeks full time including holidays and orientation. Tuition is $16,500, plus a non-refundable enrolment fee of $450 and a materials fee of $600. Graduates can move into a range of employment or further study options, including study at higher education level, and typically work in senior operational leadership roles such as Regional Manager or Area Manager.
