Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management is an AQF Level 6 qualification delivered by Bentley College over 78 weeks. The program is designed for individuals applying specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Participants use professional judgment to carry out leadership functions with accountability for team outcomes, apply cognitive and communication skills to analyse complex information, and use creative problem-solving skills to address unpredictable workplace issues. Entry to the course is intended for learners who already hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in the BSB Training Package, or who bring at least two years of equivalent full-time workplace experience in operational or leadership roles. Across 10 units of competency — 5 core and 5 elective — students develop skills in applying critical thinking to complex problem solving, leading and managing organisational change, developing and implementing business plans, providing leadership across an organisation, and managing innovation and continuous improvement, alongside electives in organisational finance, program leadership, strategy development and learning and development. Graduates are prepared for a range of management positions responsible for the work of other staff and leading teams, and can progress into Graduate Diploma (AQF Level 8) study or other related Advanced Diploma and degree-level programs in Business and Management.
