Common Questions
To enrol, students must have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions), OR have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role. Additionally, students must be 18 years of age or over, have satisfactorily completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and have an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or complete and pass the HIA English Assessment.
The course is delivered over a period of 52 weeks, equating to 36 contact study weeks plus 16 weeks for holidays.
The course is delivered via blended learning at 20 hours per week, comprising 14 hours face to face in the classroom plus 6 hours of online study.
Assessments vary from unit to unit and may take the form of an open book theory assessment/activities, questioning, assignment, project work, practical activities in a simulated work environment, role plays, case studies, presentation, written reports, or a combination of these methods. Students are provided with a Student Assessment Booklet at the commencement of each unit of competency which sets out the range and types of assessments for that unit.
Graduates may fill positions such as office manager, business development manager, or account manager, or work as an entrepreneur or business owner. Graduates may also choose to undertake further Higher Education studies, such as a Bachelor of Business or other related qualifications.
