For Cert IV to Grad Dip (AQF level) courses, students must have a valid IELTS score of 6 Bands OR PTE score of 50 OR Cambridge score 169 OR TOEFL iBT 64 OR its equivalent (Completed a minimum 10-Weeks General English Course of Upper Intermediate Level) within the last 3 Calendar Years, OR have completed an Australian Qualification minimum from AQF Level 3 (Certificate 3) to Advanced Diploma AQF Level 6, OR successful completion of an Australian Equivalent Year 12 qualification within the last 3 Calendar Years.
Training at Albright is a combination of facilitated learning activities using a combination of theory and research, including demonstrations, role plays, presentations and individual classroom and group activities. Students are required to attend 14 hours of face-to-face scheduled training plus 6 hours of structured online learning activities to complete the compulsory 20 contact hours per week. A typical week consists of two days of classes, each with two periods scheduled in either the AM or PM block.
Possible future study pathways are to continue to a higher education degree such as a Bachelor of Business. Information will also be provided to students on further training options available to them to further enhance their skill set by the student support officers of Albright or the course trainer and assessor.
The course consists of 5 core units plus 5 elective units. Core units include Apply critical thinking for complex problem solving (BSBCRT611), Lead and manage organisational change (BSBLDR601), Provide leadership across the organisation (BSBLDR602), Develop and implement business plans (BSBOPS601), and Manage innovation and continuous improvement (BSBSTR601). Elective units include Develop and maintain strategic business networks (BSBTWK601), Contribute to strategic workforce planning (BSBHRM614), Develop organisational strategies (BSBSTR602), Contribute to the development of employee and industrial relations strategies (BSBHRM612), and Lead strategic planning processes for an organisation (BSBSTR802).
The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management is available at both Melbourne and Sydney campuses. The course runs for 52 weeks (12 months) including holidays, with a study load of 20 hours per week.
