Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

The Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB60420) at Academies Australasia Polytechnic is the senior qualification in AAPoly's nationally recognised business management pathway, aimed at students moving into organisation-wide leadership rather than team or department supervision. Doing business in the 21st century, with its focus on a global economy, is increasingly complex, and the course is built around the analytical, innovative and communication capability that senior roles demand. Students learn to provide leadership across the organisation, lead and manage organisational change, and contribute to strategic workforce planning, alongside contributing to the development of diversity and inclusion strategies. Strategy units cover developing and implementing business plans and developing organisational strategies, while governance units address developing, implementing and maintaining work health and safety management systems. Innovation is treated as a management discipline through managing innovation and continuous improvement, and the qualification closes with applying critical thinking for complex problem solving and leading communication in the workplace. Delivery is on campus over four terms (36 college weeks). Direct entry is available to students holding a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions), or with two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.
