Entry to this qualification is limited to those who have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions), or have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise. Students must also complete a Pre-Training Review, LLN test, and Learning Style Assessment as part of the enrolment process.
The course is delivered full time over 100 weeks, comprising 88 weeks of class delivery and 12 weeks of holidays. Students attend 20 hours of face-to-face/online training and assessment per week, usually divided into two full days and one half-day of classes.
The qualification consists of 10 units in total — 5 core units and 5 elective units. Core units include BSBCRT611 Apply critical thinking for complex problem solving, BSBLDR601 Lead and manage organisational change, BSBLDR602 Provide leadership across the organisation, BSBOPS601 Develop and implement business plans, and BSBSTR601 Manage innovation and continuous improvement. Elective units include BSBCRT511, BSBPEF501, BSBXCM501, BSBSTR602, and BSBSTR802.
Assessment is the process of collecting evidence and making judgements about whether competency has been achieved. It is carried out in accordance with benchmarks for assessment, specific industry requirements, principles of assessment, and rules of evidence. The assessment process may include theory, projects, and practical assessments. Assessment is based on realistic workplace scenarios and simulations, and formative assessment is provided throughout the course, with summative assessment concluding each unit of competency.
Yes, Della International College offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Course Credit to students through the enrolment process. Della International College also recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs. Students are advised to consult with the Compliance Manager for further information if they are unsure whether either of these options applies to them.
