Common Questions
To enter this course, applicants must have either successfully completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package, or have a minimum of two (2) years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role. Applicants must also be 18 years or older, have completed Year 12 or equivalent, and demonstrate English language proficiency through IELTS Academic 6.0, PTE Academic 50, or an equivalent approved test.
The qualification is delivered as full-time study over up to 78 weeks, which includes 12 weeks of scheduled breaks and holidays. Duration may vary based on the mode of delivery and/or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT).
To achieve this qualification, students must complete 10 units: 5 core units and 5 elective units. Core units include Apply critical thinking for complex problem solving (BSBCRT611), Lead and manage organisational change (BSBLDR601), Develop and implement business plans (BSBOPS601), Provide leadership across the organisation (BSBLDR602), and Manage innovation and continuous improvement (BSBSTR601). Elective units include Manage organisational finances (BSBFIN601), Lead communication in the workplace (BSBXCM501), Develop organisational strategies (BSBSTR602), Contribute to the development of learning and development strategies (BSBHRM613), and Lead innovative thinking and practices (BSBSTR801).
Graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management can pursue a range of senior roles including Executive Manager, Director, General Manager, Business Development Manager, Senior Executive Manager, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Human Resources Adviser, Marketing Manager, Business Analyst, and Government or Corporate Policy Adviser, among others.
The indicative tuition fee for the Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB60420) for onshore international students is $16,000.00 AUD, with a material fee (including e-books) of $500.00 AUD. All fees are quoted in AUD, are indicative only, and subject to change without notice. A non-refundable enrolment fee also applies.
