Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters, and use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources. The qualification reflects the role of individuals with significant experience in a senior administrative role who are seeking to develop expertise across a wider range of business functions, and suits those who wish to consolidate theoretical business skills and build pathways to further education or employment. The course comprises 10 units of competency (5 core and 5 elective), covering organisational change, business plans, organisational leadership, innovation and continuous improvement, critical thinking, workplace communication and corporate social responsibility. Delivered face-to-face over a total duration of 64 weeks (1200 hours of training and supervised assessment plus home study), the course leads to a nationally recognised qualification, with career pathways into roles such as Business Enterprise Manager, Regional Manager, Corporate Services Manager and Business Consultant, or further study toward a bachelor's degree in business.
