Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management is delivered by Daffodil College at its Sydney CBD campus over 78 weeks, combining 60 weeks of structured training across six 10-week terms with scheduled holiday breaks. The qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised leadership and management knowledge and skills across a range of enterprise and industry contexts, using initiative and judgement to plan and implement management functions with accountability for personal and team outcomes. Students develop strong cognitive and communication skills for identifying, analysing and synthesising information from a variety of sources, alongside creative and conceptual skills for expressing ideas and responding to complex organisational problems. Core areas of study include leading and managing organisational change, providing leadership across the organisation, developing and implementing business plans, and managing innovation and continuous improvement. Training is delivered in a blended format — 15 hours face-to-face and 5 hours online each week on a full-time basis — supported by simulated work environments that reflect real business settings. The qualification comprises 10 units of competency (5 core and 5 elective), with electives selected by Daffodil College to build a broad range of advanced leadership and management skills. Graduates are prepared for senior operational and strategic roles across a wide range of industries.
