To enrol, students must be 18 years or older, meet the English requirement of Academic IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in each band), and have completed Year 12 or an AQF Certificate IV or higher. Additionally, entry is limited to those who have completed the BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication (or equivalent), completed specific units including BSBMKG541, BSBMKG542, BSBMKG552, BSBMKG555, and BSBPMG430, or have four years of equivalent full-time relevant work experience.
The total duration of the course is 78 weeks, comprising 60 weeks of study period and 18 weeks of term break, delivered 100% by face-to-face classes at the Training Masters campus in Sydney.
Graduates are prepared for senior marketing roles in a range of industries including Advertising and Marketing Agencies, Technology and Digital Startups, E-commerce and Retail, Media and Entertainment, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, and more. Possible job titles include Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, Advertising Account Director, Brand Manager (Senior), Digital Marketing Strategist, and Global Marketing Manager.
On completion of this qualification, candidates may undertake a range of other Advanced Diploma qualifications from the BSB Business Services Training Package, or seek entry into an undergraduate degree such as a Bachelor of Management at an Australian Higher Education Provider. Coupled with substantial employment experience (more than two years), graduates may also be eligible to gain entry into postgraduate courses such as a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Communication or a Graduate Certificate in Marketing.
The Training Masters campus is located within the city of Sydney, just 5 minutes' walk from Town Hall Railway Station. The Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication consists of 12 units in total — 6 core units and 6 elective units — studied at a rate of 20 hours per week.
