Entry to this qualification is limited to those who have completed BSBMKG541, BSBMKG542, BSBMKG552, BSBMKG555, and BSBPMG430 (or equivalent competencies), OR have four years equivalent full-time relevant work experience, are 18 years or older, and have completed Year 12 or its equivalent with suitable English language skills. International students are also required to have an English ability at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

Typically, students completing this qualification may perform the role of a marketing director, marketing strategist, or national, regional or global marketing manager. Other job roles include Client Services Executive, Advertising Account Director, Client Services Director, Advertising Account Planning Manager, and Marketing Manager.

The course is delivered 67% face-to-face and 33% online. Online learning is delivered via an eLearning management system (Moodle) and can include synchronous delivery such as live online lecture sessions and support sessions, as well as asynchronous learning through pre-recorded lectures, presentations, discussion forums, and trainer notes.
