The course fees are $8,400 for internal adult (domestic) students and $15,000 for international students. Additional charges apply, including an $80 audition fee, a $400 administration and resources fee, and a $40 QCM T-shirt. Payment is invoiced per term before training commences, and a payment plan can be negotiated with the Director if needed.
The Advanced Diploma of Music has two intake dates per year: January and July.
The course is conducted over 4 terms of 9 weeks each (1 year in total), with 20 hours per week in supervised face-to-face classes and an additional four hours per week in private practice time, rehearsal, performance and attendance at concerts.
For the audition, you need to prepare two contrasting pieces. The audition process will determine your aural skills, music knowledge and performance techniques. You will also need to submit documents supporting your skill level and experience in music to the Trainer.
Yes, RPL is available for the Advanced Diploma of Music (CUA60525). RPL is an experience, knowledge and skill assessment process that allows you to attain a nationally-recognised qualification based on skills and knowledge gained through previous experience, recognised as either formal training or informal (i.e. on the job) learning. Students may apply for a full course, Unit of Competency or Cluster of Units as an RPL.
