Yes, the Advanced Diploma of Therapeutic Yoga Teaching is accredited by the Australian government (CRICOS 117862D | 11335NAT) and is eligible for overseas student visas to study in Australia. HIA states they are the only registered provider in Australia to offer Yoga Teacher Training to international students.
Each part is conducted over 52 weeks, comprising an academic year of 40 weeks' tuition, with breaks, aligned with Queensland school terms. Each term is of 10 weeks' duration, thus there are 12 weeks of term breaks. Attending classes is optional for students during their term breaks.
It is mandatory to sign off hours attended immediately after each and every attendance (class, tutorial, retreat, etc.), and student logbooks need to be kept current. They remain the property of the Institute in the student's file for assessment validation. Full-time students must complete their lecture, tutorial, and class attendance within the allocated period, and online access and class attendance will terminate at the course-end date.
