VCE: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL. Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.

VCE: Applicants who have experienced educational disadvantage are encouraged to apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS). International students:

6.0 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

Graduates of the Associate Degree in Engineering Technology may find employment in a range of engineering fields including civil, electrical, electronics, environmental, structural, construction, mechanical, manufacturing, infrastructure development or project management.

Roles may include:

• Senior drafter or CAD designer
  • Use CAD (computer-aided design) software to prepare designs and drawings for buildings, systems and structures. Ensure compliance and consistency to professional standards and collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, surveyors and other professionals.
• Project manager
  • Plan and coordinate the development of new structures, infrastructure or systems. Lead the research and development stages of projects – from design and planning, to managing budgets, staffing and equipment needs.
• Site supervisor
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a worksite to ensure high performance and compliance with health and safety guidelines. Site supervisors typically work on large engineering projects in the building and construction industry.
• Civil technician
  • Civil engineering technicians and technologists help engineers plan, design and build. They work on a wide variety of projects including highways, bridges, utilities and other infrastructure.
