You will gain hands-on experience working with industry-standard equipment in the Footscray Nicholson hospitality training centre. This simulated work environment includes four commercial kitchens with individual stainless steel workstations, two demonstration kitchens, a training bar, and an award-winning training restaurant, VenU.
Yes, select students from this course have the opportunity to engage in a practical placement with industry partners including Delaware North, Sebastian Restaurant and Bar, Lucas Restaurants, Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre, Contiki, and Riverland Group.
For eligible students, this course is offered as a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), subsidised by the government. The indicative fee for a full-time student in 2026 is AU$17,399 per year. This fee is a guide only and does not include materials such as textbooks or the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
No, this course does not have a minimum ATAR requirement for entry. Instead, you need to have successfully completed secondary school and meet any other requirements outlined, such as English language requirements. Your work and life experience will also be considered.
To attain the Associate Degree in Sustainable Hospitality and Hotel Management, students will be required to complete 192 credit points of core units, spread across two years of study with 8 units per year, each worth 12 credit points.
