The Associate Degree is a two-year program focused on core laboratory skills and foundational medical science knowledge (not an AIMS-accredited course). The Bachelor's degree is an AIMS-accredited four-year course that includes a 26-week work-integrated learning component.
The course is delivered in person at Flinders University's Bedford Park campus, with hands-on training in purpose-built teaching labs located alongside Flinders Medical Centre, preparing you for real laboratory work from your first semester.
The Guaranteed Entry ATAR is 65.00. Other entry options include a STAT score of 150.0, a GPA of 4.0, or a TAFE/VET Certificate IV or above. There are no prerequisites or assumed knowledge requirements. Alternative pathways are also available for students without an ATAR.
Graduates can pursue roles such as Medical Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Technician, or Technical Officer. Potential employers include SA Pathology, Clinpath, Australian Clinical Labs, and private and public pathology labs. The degree also offers a clear pathway to further study in the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine).

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
