Common Questions
For domestic students, the course spans 6 study periods (2 years full-time) or part-time equivalent. International students complete the course over 9 study periods (3 years) full-time.
The indicative total course fee for the Associate Degree of Music Business is $50,400 for domestic students. Fees are subject to change and FEE-HELP is available for eligible students.
The course is offered at both the Melbourne and Sydney campuses. Intake dates are February, May, and September in Sydney, and February and September in Melbourne.
Domestic school leaver applicants must attend an over-the-phone interview with a future student advisor and provide a 300-500 word personal statement explaining their interest in Music Business and any previous experience in the field. International applicants must also satisfy minimum standard English requirements in addition to the interview and personal statement.
The curriculum spans marketing, contract law, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, event management, and strategic business planning. Units include Arts and Entertainment Law, Marketing Meaning and Finding Your Tribe(s), Economics and Financial Management, Startups: Entrepreneurship and Business Strategy, and collaborative industry projects covering music publishing, artist management, record labels, and event management.
