Common Questions
Yes, this award is accredited by the three main accounting professional bodies: CPA Australia, ICAA (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand), and IPA (Institute of Public Accountants).
As part of your degree, you must undertake 150 hours of practical experience in a workplace of your choice. This is not work experience but an embedded internship — indeed, many students later find full-time employment with the company where they took their practicum. Companies participating in the internship roster include the Commonwealth Bank, Century 21, Nine Network, Bauer Media and St George Bank.
According to the current QILT (Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching) survey of Australian academic institutions, 76.7 per cent of graduates found full-time employment after completing their business program at Notre Dame — more than 3 percent above the national average.
A degree in accounting offers a wide variety of career paths. Depending on your interests and choice of courses, you could specialise in internal auditing, forensic accounting or tax accounting, as well as careers in banking and finance, general business, government, private consulting, and not-for-profit organisations.
The Bachelor of Accounting is offered at both the Fremantle and Sydney campuses. Students can commence in either Semester 1 or Semester 2, and the program is available in a blended study mode on a full-time or part-time basis, with a duration of 3 years full-time or equivalent part-time.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
