Subject to units undertaken and any course credits applied, students completing this course will satisfy the educational requirements for admission to the major professional accounting bodies of CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, subject to pending TEQSA Course Re-Accreditation.
The Bachelor of Accounting has a standard duration of 3 years (6 Trimesters), with 2 compulsory trimesters in each year. Students are required to study 4 units per trimester and a minimum of 8 units per year.
The course consists of 24 units in total: 2 Core Units, 18 CPA Accredited Core Units, and 4 Elective Units. Students have the opportunity of selecting four elective units so as to tailor the degree to individual needs.
International students must meet an English language proficiency requirement of IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall score with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent. More information about ways to meet this criteria can be found by viewing the English Language Proficiency Requirements on the Kent website.
