Introduces students to academic skills required for academic studies, including time management, digital skills, referencing, critical thinking, academic writing, research and investigation techniques, and presentation skills.
Accounting for Business Decisions
Provides an introduction to accounting and governance mechanisms, covering bookkeeping processes, preparation of financial reports, accounting for retail operations, inventory, accrual accounting, and introduction to management accounting.
Foundations of Information Technology
Introduces students to the field of information technology, covering computer hardware, operating systems, productivity software, networking, communication systems, database technology, and business information systems.
Business Communication and Stakeholder Management

Practical Industry Projects - PIP (Part A)
Capstone unit in partnership with Practera. Students gain hands-on experience solving real-world business challenges for industry clients, working in groups of up to six guided by a client mentor and lecturer. Pre-requisite: 160 course credit points completed.
Practical Industry Projects - PIP (Part B)
Continuation of BACC3008a. Students must firstly complete BACC3008a as a pre-requisite.
Requirements Design Thinking (Elective)
Covers principles of information system development, product development and design thinking, information systems concepts and practices, and the key stages of Design Thinking including user research, ideation, prototyping and user evaluation.

For 2024, the full tuition fee is $48,000 (fee per annum: $16,000; fee per unit: $2,000). For 2026, the full tuition fee is $50,400 (fee per annum: $16,800; fee per unit: $2,100). To complete the degree, you need to pass 24 units (240 credit points, 10 credit points per unit). These are divided into three levels: Level 1000 has 8 core units, Level 2000 has 6 core units, and Level 3000 has 5 core units including a Capstone unit. In addition, you select 4 electives (2 from Level 2000 and 2 from Level 3000, excluding Capstone units).
Yes. The Bachelor of Accounting holds professional accreditation from CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants ANZ (CAANZ), meeting the academic requirements for entry into the CPA/CAANZ Programs. It is also recognised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
The course has multiple intakes throughout the year: February, March, May, June, August, September, October, and November. It is offered at two campuses — Melbourne (Level 1, 20 Queen Street, VIC 3000) and Sydney (Level 3 & 4, 545 Kent Street, NSW 2000). It is available to both domestic and international students.
Graduates can pursue careers as Auditors, Business Analysts, Financial Analysts, Controllers, Project Managers, Taxation Accountants, and Management Accountants. Completion of the degree also meets the academic requirement for admission to postgraduate courses within Australia and overseas, subject to additional institution or course-specific requirements.
The PIP is a Capstone unit delivered in partnership with Practera. Students work in groups of up to six, guided by both a client mentor and a lecturer, solving real-world business challenges for industry clients. It is not a simulation. Students must have completed 160 course credit points before enrolling in BACC3008a. Upon completion, students receive a certification and digital badge to add to their CV and LinkedIn profile.
