The Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business is accredited by CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), and meets the associate membership requirements of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Depending on the electives chosen, graduates may also be eligible to apply for registration with the Tax Practitioners Board (after meeting the Board's requirements for practical experience) and are eligible to join the Association of Taxation and Management Accountants at the member level.
Students can choose to major in Financial Planning, Marketing, or Property. The Financial Planning Major is approved under the Financial Adviser Standards and is available online only. The Property Major is accredited by the Australian Property Institute (API), providing the educational requirements necessary for certification as a Certified Property Practitioner (CPP).
You must complete 32 units (192 credits) in total, which includes 20 core units, one eight-unit major, and one four-unit minor.
Yes, the Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business is available both online and on campus. Please note that the Financial Planning Major is available online only.
Yes, there is a unit called Professional Practice and Experience (BUSN13004) which offers students the opportunity to select from the following options subject to availability: a work integrated learning option, a global experience option, or a project option.
