For Semester 1 2026, the Guaranteed ATAR is 75.00 (excluding adjustment factors), meaning applicants who meet this threshold and satisfy prerequisites are guaranteed an offer. The lowest selection rank to receive an offer (including adjustment factors) was 68.25. Adjustment factors of up to 28 aggregate points may apply, including equity access schemes and subject bonuses.
The course takes 4 years to complete full-time or 8 years part-time. It is delivered on campus at RMIT's Melbourne City Campus, through blended learning that combines classroom and online components.
The course is available as a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). In 2026, the annual student contribution (tuition fee) is between AU$4,738 and AU$17,399 depending on the band of your enrolled subjects. Most business, law, accounting, economics, and commerce subjects fall into the highest band at AU$17,399 per standard year (AU$2,174 per 12 credit point course). Additionally, a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of up to AU$373 applies in 2026. HECS-HELP loans are available to defer tuition fees, and SA-HELP is available for the SSAF.
The Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business is accredited by both CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). Completion satisfies the academic requirements for direct entry into the CPA Australia program (graduates eligible for Associate membership) and for entry into the CA program (graduates eligible for Student Affiliate membership). RMIT's College of Business and Law is also AACSB accredited.
There are 14 majors available, including: Blockchain Enabled Business, Business Information Systems, Business and Technology, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Planning, Global Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, Management and Change, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Social Impact, and Strategy and Innovation. There are also 32 minors available, such as Behavioural Business, Business Analytics, Cyber Security, Data Insights, Digital Business Development, Digital Supply Chain, Global Procurement and Sourcing, and many more. Students can complete one major and electives, one or two minors and electives, or multiple electives across disciplines.
The course has intakes in February and July each year at Melbourne City Campus. For mid-year 2026 courses, applications opened 8 April 2026 and closed 5 June 2026. For 2027 Semester 1 courses, timely applications open 3 August 2026 and close 28 September 2026; late applications close 30 October 2026; and very late applications close 4 December 2026. VCE results and ATARs are available online from 10 December 2026, with January round 2 offers and subsequent rounds from 13 January 2027.
