Completion of the Bachelor of Accounting/Diploma of Laws allows graduates to apply for membership of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) (UK).
Yes. Upon completion of the Diploma of Laws, you can apply to study a Bachelor of Laws degree with full credit for units completed, so you can finish your degree faster.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 240 credit points. This includes 19 Core Units worth 190 credit points (comprising one Law Core Unit and 18 Accounting Core Units) and 5 Law Specialist Elective units worth 50 credit points.
The annual tuition fee for full-time study in 2026 is AUD $31,208.00, which equates to $3,901.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL). These fees are subject to increases annually, effective at the start of each calendar year.
The minimum ATAR required for entry is 60, after any applicable adjustment factors have been applied. Alternatively, entry can be gained through completion of a Certificate III or higher, at least 0.5 year of full-time higher education study, a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140, or other recognised pathways.
