The program contains a total of 288 units of credit (UOC) and can be completed in 6 years of full-time study. The Advanced Science (Honours) component requires 144 UOC, including core courses (12 UOC), a science major (66–84 UOC), an honours stream (48 UOC), and science elective subjects. The Engineering (Honours) component requires 168 UOC, including core courses (30–42 UOC), introductory knowledge courses (48 UOC), disciplinary knowledge and enquiry-based courses (48 UOC), electives (12 UOC), and 60 days of industrial training.
Yes, the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component of this double degree is fully accredited with Engineers Australia at the level of Professional Engineer. For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $8,000, with an indicative full fee to complete the degree of $56,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $62,000, with an indicative full fee to complete the degree of $419,000. These fees are for tuition only and are subject to annual review.
The degree includes immersive research experiences and an embedded honours year. Students apply their learning through Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Research Integrated Learning (RIL), tackling real research from their first year and completing two core research courses. Engineering students also undertake 60 days of Industrial Training. Students also have access to programs like STEM Career Launchpad and the ChallENG Program, connecting with 400+ industry partners before graduation.
