Common Questions
The Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Honours) offers specialisations in three discipline areas: Theology, Business, and Education. Students choose one Advanced Studies subject in their discipline area (THE406, BUS406, or EDU406) alongside the two core research subjects.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree (or higher) in a cognate discipline with an overall GPA of at least 2.8. International students must also meet the IELTS (or equivalent) score of 7.0, with no score below 6.5 in any of the four skills areas.
The application process involves several steps: first, read through the admissions criteria to ensure you meet the entry requirements; then complete a Research Proposal Template (a sample proposal is available); next, submit an Expression of Interest form which the Graduate Research School will review; and if your Expression of Interest is accepted, the Graduate Research School will contact you directly with a link to complete your course registration. For questions, you can contact hdr.admin@ac.edu.au.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
