Applications are open to University of Sydney students who, as part of the Bachelor of Arts component of the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws, have completed a major in Media Studies and such units as prescribed by the Department of Media and Communications to commence the Advanced Coursework component in the subject area of Media and Communications.
Advanced Coursework in Media and Communications requires completion of 30 credit points, including a research, community, industry or entrepreneurship project of at least 12 credit points.
The closing date for Semester 1 entry is 31 January of the commencing year, and for Semester 2 entry it is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
Admission requires completion of the Bachelor of Arts component to a total of 72 credit points, including 24 credit points of 1000-level major and program core units, 24 credit points of 2000-level major and program core units, 18 credit points of 3000-level major and program core units, and 6 credit points of a 3000-level Interdisciplinary Project unit.
You can submit an application through the University of Sydney's online portal. Closing dates are 31 January for Semester 1 and 15 July for Semester 2 of the commencing year, with separate deadlines applying for scholarship applications.
